Given marvel’s brand of, “3 camera cuts for one punch” I don’t believe even snipes would have improved the fight scenes by a large amount.

I think that’s one of the reasons Jackie chan wasn’t feeling it in the states.

If you look at the older movies he got, shyt is like one motion, no jump cuts or nothing. Directors be tripping on that.

All marvel movies be doing that shyt probably because the actors can’t fight for shyt, cgi or whatever.

Probably the best combat in the 10 years is civil war and that’s mostly in the end with cap and Bucky vs iron man.

There's a youtube vid where Jackie Chan goes in on how hollywood action scenes be looking like shyt because they compensate actor's lack of fighting skill with several cuts and camera movement which in turn makes fight scenes look disconnected and it removes the "feel" of impact and fluidity from the fighting. With Jackie action and reaction is shot in the same take. He'd be a director's nightmare because dude would start over if a fight sequence went wrong and would keep at it till it looked good. So shyt would take forever and the downside to that is the acting and plot takes a back seat to the action.

That's why you gotta give dudes like Keanu Reeves all the credit in the world with John Wick. Dude did like 90% of his stunts and shattered the myth that American actors won't put in the work for authentic fight scenes.

No cheap quick cuts but legit marital arts (judo, jiu jistu, karate) taking place where he clearly knew what he was doing.

I do, but i also like discussions like this. It's like fantasy sports with comics.
I'd actually like to see them made the first two blade films canon to the MCU, then have Old man Blade(played by Wesley) pop up at some point.
