if they have other options available city kids should avoid PSAL schools like they have the plague, go the prep route or CHSAA, outside of Lincoln, the majority of them are doing kids a disservice by not guiding them through the proper classes grades 9-12 to make sure they are college eligible. There a ton of kids that have either slipped through the cracks or gone the JUCO route because they don't have the proper grades and/or requirements to get into a 4 year college after HS.

That's a pretty shyt list. Two of the top three nikkas (Jordan and Melo) are not even from NY. Sure they were born there and maybe even lived there a few years but NY is not where they developed and honed their bball skills. Melo moved to bmore at 8 years old and they trying to claim him as a NY ballplayer

It's overstated....but kids with legit NBA talent arent playing PSAL ball...they're moved.

Unless they're rich kids going to Poly Prep...Collegiate like Noah or whatever...but that's rare.

Why are we overrating NYC like it ever produced a great crop of talent? They constantly produced flop after flop, after flop from the early 90s on.
