Its like Command And Conquer...but in space. I never played the campaign but it got pretty good reviews. Played the online hardcore for a couple of years but now the scene is pretty dead.
No, Blizzard can't write stories for shyt. Like 99% of video game companies.

I pointed out the cutscenes are nothing like the game, nikkas playing rts's like it's the best thing ever. When you make a game in real time like next gen dynasty warriors or skyrim. then talk to me. if i wanted to move little pieces on a board, I'd play fukking chess....

Not sure what your point is. SC is a real time strategy, it is not like chess or FF Tactics where you wait your turn. And it is/was an extremely polished, well reviewed, commercially successful RTS with a hugely popular competitive scene. In reality Twitch TV and a lot of competitive e-sports like LoL and DOTA2, wouldn't be where they are today if it wasn't for SC2. Starcraft started all of that.
So yeah...what is your point exactly?
