I think its legit time to stop the photo ops and symbolic gesturing...We've pretty much mastered that...As if we don't have enough attention. We need to initiate the gears to bring about the next phase of liberation, wealth, justice, and concentrated power...
Purposely cripple LOCAL businesses that are not our own and replace them with our own...Infiltrate local government and create bylaws and masked agendas through a use of vague terminologies and policies that will only benefit US ultimately (think affirmative action...or heck, how laws are made now that offer us NO direct resolution). We should be able to outright BUY neighborhoods at this point at our whim. Outright BUY strip malls, gas stations, grocery stores, and outright RUN our own venture capital firms, investment firms, local and national banks, ect. We're not competing because we're not playing the game collectively or even willing to drop what we've been taught to define as, "morality". Them trinkets and butter biscuits are just too damn shinny and yummy to pass up I suppose...
This SHOULD be done by any means...Easier said than done cause its gonna take some courageous and creative minds to be concerted to such an effort.
Who woulda thought during the Bush era folks would even have the gall to interrupt a fund raiser to talk about grassroots issues for AA's. Wouldn't have happened in the early post 9/11 times. Why, cause we allow ourselves to occupied by things that ultimately aren't our problem but through fear of losing inclusive "freedoms" we take on narratives that are spewed by those who, when bored, will damn us to hell on any other day. We've eaten up ANYTHING that calls for "Americans" to be involved in as if we can exercise ALL of it's "rights" unabated.
Fear of standing out and alone is a trip for us. Ironically, that's been our very existence since we've been over here tho...

Democrats are losing black people faster than they realize. I felt that this would happen after Obama..in another forum waaay back in 08 and it's starting to happen. This white savior mindset is coming back to haunt liberals. They believe that our current freedoms we enjoy was because of them and not the black folks who bled and died out there fighting for us. I came to this conclusion because of how they misused the message of MLK.
Some black people will deflect to Trump, they respect that he will at least tell you how he feels. That stuff he said about Obama and black people hit hard, we can't even argue against his statement.
