Please join Black Lives Matter, Atlanta LLC, as they protest my upcoming shows in Atlanta!! Did I mention I will be at Atlanta's Comedy Corner September 23rd-25th. As you walk past the protest please be loving, love-able and supportive.
Please be sure to ask BLM, Atlanta and their president what is their overall objective with this protest and if they are satisfied with their accomplishments in Atlanta? So satisfied that they have free time for pet projects.
Have fun but have fun quick, because recess is just about over. I warned y'all months ago about the danger of movements being easily hijacked!
Press Release:
Legendary Civil rights activist has been "scolded and threatened" to stay out of Atlanta by Atlanta's chapter of Black Lives Matter.
BLM, Atlanta LLC, has the time to protest civil rights legend dikk Gregory. Why you ask? for simply asking where do albinos (folks with Albinisim) go after high school.
When informed Gregory said "Black folks must have it real good in Atlanta! Black bodies laying in the streets, perpetrators not being held accountable, a maniac in the final stretch to the Whitehouse and these motherfu@&er's coming to protest my show" y'all gonna have to explain this shyt to me.
Mr. dikk Gregory posted multiple Tweets days ago! (Please see below)
"As an humanitarian, I am sorry to have offended you. As a comedian, I realize there is a fine subjective line between funny and offensive. As an agitator, occasional unintended hurt comes with the territory. Nothing was said that was derogatory towards Albinos. We have real issues at hand, to focus on a slightly edgy inquiry is a distraction." DG
Lastly, I will say this. There are atrocities happening to people with albinism all over the world. The world is obsessed with skin color. Many folks are scared of folks who do not look, sound or act like them.
There are many good organizations doing great work to bring attention to stigmas and stereotypes. I am not belittling that. I have fought for and championed respect and understanding my entire life. My DNA, blood, sweat and tears are all over your movement. The same freedom of speech that allows you to protest, protects me as a comedian.
Did I mention I will be at the Uptown Comedy Corner September 2
