A lot of y'all need to really check yourselves and ask whether what you want is the liberation of all BLACK lives, not just men.

What is it so difficult to get? and why are y'all hella homophobic on this site?

My thing is, where is this energy towards the LGBT community? Maybe I'm unaware cuz I'm not part of it, but they have a rainbow flag and all, symbolizing all colors.... Are they being held to task or is it just Pride month? I don't ever remember this sort of insistence during be DACA or immigration debates either.

Shut the fukk up.

Nobody's arguing that Black trans should be shot by police

Matter of fact, everybody in here would say the cops are wrong if they did.

What we're opposing is them HIJACKING a movement about police brutality and institutional racism and making it about them.

This aint about your lifestyle choices

Fight that fight some other day.

One could make the argument that black women have had their REPARATIONS threw sooo many programs and things like welfare , section a, food stamps , every time somebody wants to do something for black boy or black men black women come along and say "what about the black girls and black women" then they hijack it and turn it into a full on black women's program or policy :francis:

:stopitslime:Now, don't start that "welfare queens in Cadillacs" shyt here.

White people are and always have been the biggest beneficiaries of welfare, food stamps, and affirmative action.

That shyt aint no reparations for Black people.

You sound like Fox News:hhh:

They have been telling it on their webpage. It's a queer movement disguised and piggybacking of Black Lives, with a catchy slogan framed "Black Lives Matter". This is why we see civil rights that Black people fought for, slowly being transported and extended over to the "LBTQ community". So, now the entire story has become about LBTQ, instead of being centered around the Black family that socioeconomically has been and is under attack.

And the remarkable thing is that every time a (heterosexual) Black man is being killed by law enforcement they use this opportunity as a come up.

In their agenda the heterosexual Black male is not at the center of the Black family to take leadership.

We affirm the lives of Black queer and trans folks, disabled folks, undocumented folks, folks with records, women, and all Black lives along the gender spectrum. Our network centers those who have been marginalized within Black liberation movements.
https://blacklivesmatter.com/about/

We foster a queer‐affirming network. When we gather, we do so with the intention of freeing ourselves from the tight grip of heteronormative thinking, or rather, the belief that all in the world are heterosexual (unless s/he or they disclose otherwise).

As organizers who work with everyday people, BLM members see and understand significant gaps in movement spaces and leadership. Black liberation movements in this country have created room, space, and leadership mostly for Black heterosexual, cisgender men — leaving women, queer and transgender people, and others either out of the movement or in the background to move the work forward with little or no recognition. As a network, we have always recognized the need to center the leadership of women and queer and trans people. To maximize our movement muscle, and to be intentional about not replicating harmful practices that excluded so many in past movements for liberation, we made a commitment to placing those at the margins closer to the center.

Most important, as a queer Black woman, Garza's leadership and work challenge the misconception that only cisgender Black men encounter police and state violence. While the tragic deaths of Trayvon Martin and Mike Brown were catalysts for the emergence of the BLM movement, Garza is clear: In order to truly understand how devastating and widespread this type of violence is in Black America, we must view this epidemic through a lens of race, gender, sexual orientation, and gender identity.

This is a really egregious statement :mjlol:

a distraction I say that because this black tran live matter thing going to turn in to a politically correct version of what about black on black crime:mjpls: whatever energy that could have been spent dealing with the polices and their unions like defunding them and demilitarism as well as make sure they face serious punishment physical and financial level are instead going to be about how toxic straight black men are to tran.:dame:

According to Williams institute, in total 0.3% (700.000) identifies as transgender out of the total population.

In 2011, Gary J. Gates utilized two state-level population-based surveys that collected data from 2003 in California and from 2007 and 2009 in Massachusetts to estimate that 0.3% of the U.S. adult population, roughly 700,000 adults, identified as transgender.

Dudes hating on gays for what reason :mjtf:

Let's look at the root causes, because it appears there is self hate going. And they try to deflect this on heterosexuals, in particularly heterosexual Black males.

"Sexual violence is any type of unwanted sexual contact, ranging from sexist attitudes and actions to rape and murder."
LGBTQ | Pennsylvania Coalition Against Rape (PCAR)

"Studies suggest that around half of transgender people and bisexual women will experience sexual violence at some point in their lifetimes."
Sexual Assault and the LGBTQ Community | Human Rights Campaign

"Over the past few decades, the causes of and intervention for intimate partner violence (IPV) have been approached and studied. This paper presents a narrative review on IPV occurring in same sex couples, that is, same sex IPV (SSIPV). Despite the myth that IPV is exclusively an issue in heterosexual relationships, many studies have revealed the existence of IPV among lesbian and gay couples, and its incidence is comparable to (Turell, 2000) or higher than that among heterosexual couples (Messinger, 2011; Kelley et al., 2012). While similarities between heterosexual and lesbian, gay, and bisexual (LGB) IPV were found, unique features and dynamics were present in LGB IPV. Such features are mainly related to identification and treatment of SSIPV in the community and to the need of taking into consideration the role of sexual minority stressors. Our findings show there is a lack of studies that address LGB individuals involved in IPV; this is mostly due to the silence that has historically existed around violence in the LGB community, a silence built on fears and myths that have obstructed a public discussion on the phenomenon. We identified the main themes discussed in the published studies that we have reviewed here. The reviews lead us to the conclusion that it is essential to create a place where this subject can be freely discussed and approached, both by LGB and heterosexual people."

As long as they aren't the face of the movement who cares

You haven't been paying attention to what is going on. They try to be the face of the movement.
All this dancing, twerking etc. soft protesting is to change the narrative.

The number 1 agenda is socioeconomic justice, not access to sex. What have seen coming from the LBTQ is to inspire sexual explorations. They simply have different priorities. And in the deeper meaning of things we have to look at the lives of George Floyd or Ahmaud Arbery. What put them in that condition was them being socioeconomically deprived. Even decades after Emitt Till.
