It's literally MIND BLOWINGhow people were REALLY thinking GP was the way forward and that Sony should follow suit. Common sense was seen as "stannery" which just made me realize some people were completely blind. With Xbox fans, they were convinced and even when they tried to point the finger at Sony with Playstation Plus, we always was like "
They're not going to do that, it's not sustainable." and look at where we're at now lol. Sony fans never proposed PS+ as the end all be all, it was just merely a "check this out this if you want..." kind of thing for us. I subbed to PS+ Premium just for two months to finish Tsushima and to try a couple of things. Already cancelled it, I'm not married to subscription plans and only will try it once in a blue moon.
I remember back in 2018 in the lead up to this gen. The industry was acting like Sony and Nintendo were gonna get destroyed if they didn't adopt the gamepass model.

This is why I don’t understand why they announced new hardware if they can never get their software right in the first place. Like seriously at this point they are throwing anything at the wall and seeing what sticks. They have no strategy whatsoever. This whole everything is an Xbox is the most cop out thing I have ever seen in gaming. They ruin everything they touch in gaming they fukked up Rare, they fukked up Halo, They fukked up Gears, and now Call of Duty. The only thing they had going for them Forza is now on PS5. I have no doubt in my mind that the new fable will probably be trash too.

For your big multiplats (Madden, 2k etc), Series X versus PS5 doesn't matter. Either system will give you what's needed.
What matters are the handful of exclusives. I actually enjoy GP since it gives me a recurring charge on a credit card I never use. They got some decent shyt....but PS5 has the exclusives and Microsoft still hasn't slayed that demon.
They pivoted because they had to. If they had 150M installed user base, nothing would have changed.
