I give more of a pass to the youth. Its difficult to know the effects alchohol can have when your first starting out. Plus some people just dont drink alot and are extreme lightweights. Different alchohols also have different effects. Some peoples biologies just dont mix well with alchohol. Not to mention undiagnosed mental illnes and the effects of alchohol.
But at the same time you can only expect a man to know so much as well. People can be more drunk than they appear
