Help me understand this and I'm a bit slow on the whole situation

I saw the whole scene where he blew up,

But was it justified, didn't the team just give up a TD on the kickoff? again I wasn't really watching the game and I saw the Cowboys tie the game 20-20 and then the Giants returned the kicked to make it 20-27 so (I assume) that's when the whole blowup from Greg took place.

Is this how the situation happened? or was the blowup at another point of time in the game?
