What's the discussion in this thread, acting like all black people are rich or poor :dead:.

The black middle class is a lot bigger than the ones rated as poor, consider the fact that the single mom household for the black community is wild.
African Americans considered living in poverty is about 20%, i.e. 80% is middle class and up. Still much worse than for cacs and on, I think the average poverty among all americans is about 12%. About 50% are homeowners as well.

The situation is not good, but it's extremely far from rich or poor lol.

Meh, a minority of drug dealers are you nikkas just trying to have some shoe, weed and food money.

When you talk about the "majority" most them nikkas are high school age.
They are broke though. And most grown drug dealers are broke or in jail. Or working with the police. "Whats good Geoffrey Harris of 1232 Prospect Place. I heard you got them kilograms of cocaine from the Acapulco Cartel. I'm tryna purchase six (6) kilograms. Holla at me daddy."

plenty of people have successfully transitioned from the drug trade to productive and legitimate lives.

African Americans considered living in poverty is about 20%, i.e. 80% is middle class and up.

:aicmon:

there's a little thing called relativity that i'd like to school you one. relative to the majority, black "middle class" experiences are well below what whites enjoy in the same "class." most of the black "middle class" consists of government workers. most of those government workers went to government schools. the black percentage of the private workforce is obscenely LOW, relative to their population, yet we are disproportionately represented in government jobs.

affirmative action, which i support, comes in more forms than just favorable consideration for employment. affirmative action manifests in our acceptance to government schools and subsequent employment in government jobs. in the PRIVATE workforce, affirmative action benefits white women far more than it does black people.

so, i wholeheartedly disagree with the idea that there isn't a GRAVE disparity in how "middle class" blacks and "middle class" whites live.

You gotta be talking about the old heads that sold that shyt back in the 80s and 90s and thrived now. I'm talking about this era. Name me one person of gen Y that is selling that shyt and actually balling out of control? It ain't happening in 20133, so go to school/ learn a trade and make money the honest way.
