I used to be a mechanic and still have resources available (tools, lifts, etc) so i'll be doing most of my own maintenance

nah I never kept mine long enough to see winter, then I got Quattro again and never looked back at FWD & RWD.
don't get me wrong I love my RWD cars, just not in Jersey winter. The Z during summertime

I just can't find the options that I want in the car that I want, and I'm the type of dude, that when I buy a car, it has to have the options that I want otherwise I'll walk away from the sale.
I hate seeing someone with a BMW 3-Series or any car like that without HID's or missing packages (sport, infotainment, luxury, etc...)

I see a lot of young guys over by me pushing the last gen M5 and M6 but they don't seem practical at all.
I found a B7 Avant I'm trying to buy this week or next. I'll let you guys know how it goes. It has a V8 and all that nonsense that comes with owning it but it has a brand new engine and was a one owner so it's well taken care of.
