Yeah I had 2 close family members commit suicide for basically nothing. Most folks who do it knowingly do the act knowing that it's going to affect a whole LOT more than themselves. That's why it's "normally" a very cruel cop out.

I just read his wiki page.I had no idea.
So I grew up in the cycling industry, first as a rider and then it became a career. I never knew Dave personally, but I know so many people that did and I watched him go from a 15yo nobody to arguably the most (publicly) successful rider, so it feels like I did.
My timeline on FB is full of memories and tears from people who knew him. It's so sad watching them go through this and then it gets worse when you consider that he has 2 little girls that are now without their father. I don't know what kind of depression that he was going through, but it's terrible for everyone involved.
If you are depressed and can't get through it, please get help. Don't do this to your family. I promise they're NOT better off without you.
