Doyle tried to cop a plea cause he didn't want Eli's son to tell him that he smacked him up. Either that or he knew what it is to be young and dumb and trying to get into some panties. Though Steve Buscemi is a great actor sometimes I feel that this role as Nucky is just not suited for him. It seems like during some of his scenes I'm just waiting for it to be over so I can see Chalky's exploits or Capone's or Van Alden. And sometimes it feels like they need an extra 30 minutes when we go whole episodes without seeing Van Alden Capone or Luciano. I wonder where my boy Harrow gonna end up now?

I was wondering if folks were geeked off the Doctors character the same way I am...guess so.
and I think Buscemi is the perfect fit for the character, he fits it to a T.
Like he said, he was just a crooked politician before he started bootlegging. Someone like him needs to be able to handle corporate/political types, not street thugs. It makes sense. He's a mix of a regular guy, and a character like the Jewish guy (forgot his name) in NYC, and the Doctor.

I know Nuck was a simp last season but for you cats crying it now look deeper. Nuck saw the thirst in her eyes, her eagerness to be down..he wasn't simping there he just made a connect. Don't let the fact that she got a vag knock the respect out of the business her and Nucky are seemingly about to get into.
Gyp had that fakkit Nucky shook, Gyp took out Owen, exploded the boardwalk that took out Nucky's sidepiece, and took out half the liquor connect, and won an emmy award for all that gullyness, "cmon bro"

See breh, thats the point tho. Nucky was a run of the mill corrupt politician, the whole gangsta thing wasn't supposed to suit him. He lucked up in his position of power and learned to embrace it. I think the role fits dude well.

I like Nucky in the part actually.
not saying he didn't do a great job, but the guy was a uncivilized, unintellectual, goon...you can't compare him with Narcisse. Gyp basically was a rook, coming through smashing buildings and killing people at will but you knew his style would be short lived unless he became a boss. He was a rabid dog, you may let him run wild but you know you're gonnna have to put him down sooner or later.
