UPDATE: I received a phone call earlier this week that UTA on Tuesday fired actor Michael Pitt who plays Jimmy Darmody on the HBO series. “If you decide to post about someone (probably WME) signing Michael Pitt, who is one of the stars of Boardwalk Empire, please note that UTA fired him as a client yesterday because he’s really difficult on set and otherwise.” I felt that Pitt was too small a name to bother posting this bad news (I’d never heard of him) or that he had landed at WME. But since the news of the WME signing is now out there, I thought Deadline readers deserved to have the complete story. I understand that UTA agent Billy Lazarus spent “many years” making Pitt into a working actor. So it’s safe to assume that Pitt must have really pissed off the agency big-time. Michael Pitt is a bum, he was living in Willaimsburg with that girl from the 1st XXX movie who was Vin's girl in the movie. I say he was just like Paz who played Nucky's 1st girl in season 1, a party type who can't get it together, has she been in anything since that BE? Look at the guy who plays Vince in entourage, guy does nothing for 3 years so you know that he has a problem.

I swear sometimes I don't get the writing for the show. They seem to kill off the most likeable characters. First Jimmy, then Owen, now Eddie, and Richard (likeable for some, maybe not for others I think he gets too little screen time ) is basically gone. It isn't "shocking", it's just dumb

Meanwhile they continue with the incest crack addict Gillian storyline, which is absolute garbage. I am really enjoying Richard's family tangent, and van Alden / stuff going on in Illinois. They must be my two favourite characters. Harrow's character is Sensitive, thoughtful, but will kill the shyt out of you if you hurt his people...

P.s: I hope Gillian ODs soon, and they spend her screen time on those two & to the German Jeffrey...Jumped off that ledge before he could get indicted to pledge & squeal

man fukk them nikkas. Lucky, Meyer, Masseria, Capone, Chalky, and Narcisse da GAWD are way more interesting to watch.

Just catching up.

-Frank! Dude was a good character, they shot the hell outta that dude though. Dude's were shooting like they all had unlimited ammo and they held down the trigger button on the controller. "FRANK!!!"

-Jillian a straight up fiend. I don't even remember how she got addicted to that stuff. I guess it was after she set dude up in the bathtub and pretended like it was her son a while back.

-Eddie gone too, wow. When ole boy in the FBI hit him with SHORYUKEN to the gut I was Eddie was a good dude, loyal(he only said something because of the situation he was in). But man I don't think he killed himself just because of what that FBI dude said about Nucky not respecting him. I think it also had something to do with them telling him that his sons changed their names and were pretending like he didn't exist.

-My favorite characters right now are: Van Alden, Dr. Narcisse and Richard Harrow. I like Capone too, but sometimes the way dude be treating Van Alden is just... I don't know. He had me laughing when he saw Van Alden standing against the wall and he yelled out "WHAT THE fukk IS HE DOING HERE?!"

-A few episodes back I was like when ole boy kept calling Harrow 'Rick' I had forgot for a moment that his full name was Richard. But it was weird hearing somebody call him Rick.

- at Willie. Killed that bully on accident, lied on Mickey Dyle and then set up his roommate to take the fall.

-Speaking of Mickey Dyle he gotta bring that laugh back, dude used to always be heard laughing in the background of a scene he was in during earlier seasons. It was his trademark man.

-The episode a while back had mini story that ended like a Twilight Zone episode with the twist. Nucky called dude at the end and told him that he wants in on the deal they discussed earlier, the one he had previously turned down. The guy says "okay" but he sounds sad and depressed, he hangs up and then the camera pulls back and shows that he killed ole boy who was supposed to do the deal(the guy he owed a dept to). Dude was lying against the wall with a machete in his head like BLAOW! That had me when I first saw, didn't expect that. Great ending and a nice twist to that little story.

-"FRANK!!!!!" Man I liked that character. I liked how he treated Van Alden and how he told his brother to mind the boundaries(family) when Al said something about Van Alden's wife. But him seeing Van Alden point that gun at Al during the riot meant...he had to go.

-Also I like that story that Lansky told Nucky about his Father not standing up for himself and about how he himself was bullied and then eventually joined the gang that beat him up.

Five eps in and this might be the best season yet

Is Margaret based off a real historical figure? Because they should just kill off her character at this point, as she brings absolutely nothing to the show now...and I say that as one of the rare dudes that didn't mind her in the beginning

I was thinking, and this season feels different then the last few seasons. Like its just here.
I'm not exactly sure why. I think maybe it has to do with the fact I dont know what this season is building towards.
Like last year was building towards a showdown between Gyp and Nucky, same with season 2 and Jimmy

not complaining or anything, because this season has been good, just saying this season is giving off a different vibe
