Ive watched each season of both shows AT LEAST 3 times with the sole exception being Season 4 of BE (twice).

Boardwalk Empire just does everything better from the storytellin, character development (van alden :ohlawd:) Cinematic shots, acting and pace (which was VASTLY improved in season 4)

Only edge sopranos got to me is the dark humor. Ive cracked the fukk up in the majority of its episodes. Espicially any episode with paulie and ralph, chris had his moments too

And i guess as far as lead character goes. Tony>Nucky. But that doesnt make nucky a bad lead tho, i think his character transitioned well from Politician to Gangster but tony soprano was one of a kind, all sorts of fukked up, plus james gandolfini played the hell out that role

I think Anyone whos watched all seasons of both shows multiple times and really got a feel for the overall plot of the season can agree

I can't agree. Although I've never really thought to compare them either cause I enjoy them separately.

I think it can surpass it. I can tell you I enjoy it more than Sopranos.

I think it has already, just compare the first 4 seasons of the sopranos (which is arguably the best of the series) vs the first 4 of Boardwalk and imo its a easy choice

I see i have to watch season 4 asap. I usually wait till around FEB to watch all the episodes to hold me over till GOT. But seeing since nikkas were ready to throw this show in the bushes last season, to comparing it to the Sopranos, it must have been a pretty damn good season:laugh:

2nd no. I love BE but it has several flaws, from characters you care nothing about having to much screen time to sometimes episodic plots dragging. The first 3 seasons of the Sopranos were flawless. Cannot say the same for BE. The middle of season 2 and 3 of BE was meh

Yea because carmela was such a compelling character :rudy:

Season 2 of boardwalk was flawless, better than the 1st, Season 3 is way better watching it entirely than watching it week by week, gyp rosetti is one of the best villains to ever grace a drama series. Season 4 really stepped ts game up, the way each episode flowed into each other was damn near perfect. One more season like that and the sopranos is officially in the bushes

Carmella's prayer in season 2 when Chris got shot>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>anything in Boardwalk Empire. Gyp was a good character but he isn't any different then the unstable nutjobs we have seen over 30 years. I think Dr Narcisse was a much better fleshed out and innovative chracter. But whatever its your opinion, but I guarantee not many agree with it

Love Boardwalk to death but it's not touching Sopranos

Sopranos stand alone at the very top level, while I put BE on the same level as Breaking Bad, The Wire & Game of Thrones

I could watch Sopranos over n over and never get tired of it...the replay value :wow:...the characters :wow:....the dark humor :wow:....and TONY SOPRANO

Boardwalk has more flaws ...too many slow points in certain stories...but this past season was :whew:

Sopranos was great entertainment. The family aspect of it really brought in many people as well. Boardwalk Empire is somewhat of a different animal. You can actually learn how to deal with people after watching all the subtle interactions between characters. Depends on what you're in the mood for :yeshrug:
