One of the dumbest moves ever

It's aged quite well. One of the deeper casts in TV history.

Eh I still cite it as one of the best TV shows of all time. Just got hampered by outside issues, similar to other HBO shows like Deadwood and Rome

Yeah I don't know what it is about that show. It had a good premise, good casting, good acting, good writing. It had a lot of memorable characters like Richard Harrow, Rothstein, Masseria, Charlie and Meyer, Capone, Gyp Rosetti, Van Alden. It had a lot of great, climactic moments as well as tastefully done drama. It had a lot of laughs. And, let's be honest, it had a lot of violence, which is a plus for gangster shows.

Yet for some reason I watched BE only once while I watched The Sopranos countless times. BE had a lot going for it but the whole was never greater than the sum of its parts. I can't really put my finger on it but...

The time jump between Seasons 4 and 5 which alot of historical and important shyt happened and the final season being sub-par compared to the others, took it from being a contender to a good show.
