They dropped the ball something serious. Mike Pitt being difficult derailed the original momentum. They found a second wind with the Dr. Narcisse/Chalky storyline. Then HBO pulled the plug to make that rock and roll show and rushed the fifth season :stopitslime:.
Pull the plug for a show that didn't even go past a season, brehs. :mjlol:

Yeah I don't know what it is about that show. It had a good premise, good casting, good acting, good writing. It had a lot of memorable characters like Richard Harrow, Rothstein, Masseria, Charlie and Meyer, Capone, Gyp Rosetti, Van Alden. It had a lot of great, climactic moments as well as tastefully done drama. It had a lot of laughs. And, let's be honest, it had a lot of violence, which is a plus for gangster shows.

Yet for some reason I watched BE only once while I watched The Sopranos countless times. BE had a lot going for it but the whole was never greater than the sum of its parts. I can't really put my finger on it but...
