Usually people say they want to fight around a certain time of year.

The only guy I can think of who always fights on a specific date is Cotto with the PR parade.

He's announced that he wants Cinco De mayo Saturday for the last 5 years maybe? Mexicans in Mexico don't even celebrate that shyt, it's damn near a made up holiday. It's not poaching anything.

This is now the third time Bob Arum has deliberately shut this fight down...

First in 2009 it was his guy is scared of needles...yes he actually said that to duck steroid testing...and the classic Manny is a small guy, the blood drawn will weaken him...but that's all Floyd's fault, how dare he demand that both combatants in the ring be clean fighters...who does that? You have to be clean to swing a bat at a baseball but demand a dude is clean to swing his hands at someones head and you're ducking fights brehs...

Next we have the magical cut that took 8 months to heal and the imaginary stadium Bob needed to build in 2011 for this fight which to this day he still hasn't even drawn up blueprints...but that's all Floyd's fault...He beat his wife to get locked up and avoid Pacquiao...then had his sentence postponed till May knowing Pacquiao's cut sustained in November wouldn't be healed till the week Floyd had to report to prison in June and gave Bob no time to build his stadium...Mayweather mindtricks...

Now in 2014 apparently you have to be Mexican to fight on the first weekend of May...Floyd has only been fighting the first weekend of May for 5 years now...Cotto don't even want to fight Canelo on that date, which is why that fight isn't official yet...but Bob who is supposed to be representing Cotto keeps pushing for that date...The reason for this is obvious to anyone with a functional brain which unfortunately Floyd haters seem to lack...It's all about the money and he wants to take the date away from Floyd...Arum wants to play the Mayweather PPV numbers are inflated by the Mexican holiday weekend card so he can have more leverage at the negotiating table which he has none of right now due to his guys decline in popularity and 3-2 record in his last 5 fights...but its all Floyd's fault...How dare he demand what he is worth? who does that? and Manny said he will fight for free !!!
