I don’t think you realize what I’m saying so I’ll put in question form. Why is a doctor telling people NOT to wear masks during a pandemic caused by a respiratory disease. Do NOT say it’s because they wasn’t enough cases because that doesn’t make sense. You wear the masks BEFORE the cases start rising. That brings me to my second point...

Is every respiratory disease primarily spread by people who don't show symptoms or before they show them? It's kinda why this one became such a big deal.
