Bobby Brown documentary to air on A&E (reveals abuse by a priest)

Bobby Brown is opening up about trauma he endured during his childhood. In an up close and personal profile for A&E’s Biography: Bobby Brown, he shared that he was molested by a priest during his childhood.

He shared that his mother was arrested while trying to break up a fight on their Boston street. Since his father was at work during her arrest, he was in temporary care of social services.


“When my mother was arrested, I was sent to temporary custody by social services which was supposed to be a religious place,” he said.

“It was not a nice place to be as a child. One of the priests tried to molest me. He [the priest] tried to touch my private parts. There was no penetration or anything. He touched my privates and I didn’t like that. I punched and kicked and punched some more until he got away from me; so I ran away from there as quickly as possible.”

The Grammy-nominated singer said the experience was not only traumatizing but confusing.

“At that time, I was a young boy,” he added. “I didn’t know what sexual boundaries were. I just knew I didn’t like being touched. Some things are hard to forget.”

His older brother Tommy also spoke on the horrific experience and said he wanted to seek revenge.

“When I found out I wanted to go murder, but my mother stood me down, but I would have,” he said.

During the emotional sit-down, Brown also spoke on another traumatic childhood event: seeing his best friend be murdered when they were 12-years-old.

“This kid was sitting on one of our bikes. Jimmy comes outside,” he said. “He sees the guy on the bike and starts fighting, somebody threw the guy a butcher’s knife and he ended up stabbing Jimmy in the heart,” he said. “He passed away looking at me. I will never forget his face when he took his last breath.”

Most people are totally unaware of this these days but back in the days when the village was your tribe and you only married outside it the ancestors lived by it because it works so well. Its amazing how much we've progressed in terms of tech and regressed in terms of knowledge of Self because people base major life decisions on the most basic of things that are designed to fade whilst ignoring what goes on beneath the surface and is of greater importance.

No one caught up in the mix (especially with kids) would say "I'd like a do over with another option" because most people lack that mental flexibility but if they could see the alternate, unactivated timeline version of themselves whose path split at the choice of another partner they'd switch in a heartbeat.

Case in point had Bobbys Bad met a Better people would've thought he settled for less than what he was worth, "What's he doing with her? He's Bobby Brown!" and all that jazz but best believe the internal security he craved and she provided would've propelled him into the stratosphere artistically, emotionally and spiritually and what a sight that would've been to see. Same with Whitney. Two empty pots can never fulfill themselves, let alone another.

Its why knowledge of Self is so important because once you've got it then you can play the Game with a much better insight of whats at stake as opposed to rolling the pair o' dice (paradise, get it?), taking a chance and either crapping out or riding your luck:

This type of trauma occurs more frequently than the other one, but is rarely addressed.

Jungle talked about being traumatized by seeing Ill Will's murder in the Nas documentary. It really hit me when I heard him say that. He was basically a little kid seeing that shyt.

I mean in terms of success. Usher wasn’t a pioneer but after R.Kelly, he had the 2nd most successful career in the genre.

Bobby was on par with James Brown, Prince, Michael Jackson when it came to performing live. Such a waste of talent.
