I don't get how y'all listen to the music and not feel sorry for them. This is the cycle of the hood, a lot of wild shyt going down. GS9 had a chance to switch up but the crackers snatched em up 1st. You usually don't mature in the streets till about 25-27 but most don't make it that long but it's beautiful to see a wild nikka calm down enjoying life when they do make it. I'm a hood nikka and I hate to see nikkas get locked I got friends doing life as I type this

But on the other hand, going to jail is a consequence of living that life, they knew that.

It's true but that's all they know. It's not to many successful brothers in the hood making a decent living legally. So what a nikka gone do when I see my homie eating in the streets. It's a trap. Bobby got caught up like many others.

The point of him being LA Reid's boss

. . while LA Reid is still a boss

is because he's delegated responsibility to LA Reid

So kinda like how LA Reid doesn't care what record his artist makes, as long as it's hitting

Doug Morris doesn't care about what LA Reid does . . as long as it's hitting. So you going to Doug Morris would be stupid. He might hear about it in passing but his focus ranges over a lot more things, like all of the other record label subsidiaries under the Sony Music Umbrella . . the reason there's someone in charge of all of them is because this one guy isn't going to be able to divert his focus to all of these labels individually . . and thus you have the need to delegate power and responsibility to people to focus on that as their highest priority. Doug Morris can say anything like "We want to sign more artists like this" to "Hey guys, we're mentioning Coke products this summer. Try to keep Pepsi out of your lyrics". He might say . . where going to allocate more money towards Miley Cyrus's next project. Or more money for that label to work with. These decisions are largely to do with what's making money . . this is where you as a consumer comes in. If 15 year old girls actually buy Miley Cyrus's music compared to all of you downloading Bobby's music they go . . "hmmm that's making more money so let's put money into that. Call Larry let him know there's smaller budgets for Bobby next time around . We're also shrinking that labels budget. Sign less rap artists and adjust promotional budgets, we're not pushing that as hard anymore"

And just like LA Reid has been delegated responsibility to look over a whole label . . he delegates responsibility to A&R people who's job is to look over a project. Lesser staffed labels might be more likely to have one A&R looking over more than 1 project, maybe this Larry over here is overseeing two projects from artists with similar directions, similar markets. This is why corporations have corporate structure.

Doug Morris was concerned with Bobby for less than 30 seconds while his assistant briefed him on various happenings in their company, he might ask "how much did we spend on that guy. Is there a loss there?" but this isn't his main focus, there's an accounting department handles that. Then his assistant gives him the recent sales numbers and reports from around the company. 37 artists weren't working out. There project got scrapped. Total loss, write that off as a business expense. Next 15 less priority acts don't do well. Doug nods his head. That's part of the business. 8 artists are doing well on the charts. Cool. That makes up for most of the money the acts that didn't do well and part of the artists who didn't pass development ( . . keep in mind "Development" is usually listed as a big portion of most accounting "business expenses" . . imagine some creative account now . . pretty easy to say we spent $10000 on that vocal coach instead of $1500)

Then the news he cares about most. The news that validates his expertise. Their highest priority artist is doing well.

Doug lights up a cigar, kicks his feet up on the table . . that covers most of everything and shows that he still knows what he's doing "That's why I get paid the big bucks guys"

A lot of you have worker bee brains and this discussion is a whole new world for you like you just built a latter and are looking over the edge of wall

Celebrate another young brother getting caught up in the prison-industrial complex, brehs. :smh:
He made his bed and now he has to sleep in it. There's a difference between doing grimy things for the sake of survival and being an all around piece of shyt human being. He's randomly shot at crowds in broad daylight and him and his crew had enough guns
for a small militia(wonder what they were gonna do with those) He is a detriment to society and needed to be taken off the streets. Anyone who brings violence to my community is no brother of mine

:scust:What exactly warranted him getting a $2 million bail?

This shiit shouldn't even be going to trail, just give these lil knuckleheads a couple of years and be done.

Cases like this are the definition of waste of tax dollars. Treating nickle and dime street kids, like they some big criminal organization.
exactly, and these clowns laughing at these kids who are clearly being fukked over because the Pigs are bitter about seeing them make it out the hood :scusthov:.

:jawalrus:

It's been years since you've had the balls to get in a Pac discussion with me. It's Friday night, you must be bored . . but I'll address this

Tupac was 25 years old. The only similarity to be mentioned is the rapper in need of bail. Jimmy Iovine has said his biggest regret was not bailing Tupac out of jail

However . . worker bee mind?

Highly unlikely,

Here's a list of the companies Tupac planned to start

Joshua's Dream Corporation

This publishing company wasnamed by Tupac after meeting a terminally ill child named Joshua in 1993.

Euphanasia

This is a company Tupac had set up to develop movie projects and help finance such community-minded projects as a center for at-risk youth. It was co owned by Tupac, Yasmine and Molly. Tupac was listed as an employee of this company at the time of his murder.

Non-Stop Productions

Non-Stop Productions was a music production company that Tupac and Johnny "J" (Johnny Jackson) had together. After Tupac passed nothing else was released thru this company.

24-7 Productions.

Tracy, (Tracy Robinson) Gobi and Pac were partners in 24-7 Productions. Tupac had 60%, and Tracy and Gobi had 40% of the company

It was to do all filmed productions for Tupac.

Makaveli Records

Makaveli Records was to be Tupac's record label distributed thru Suge Knights Death Row Records. Tupac adopted the moniker 'Makaveli' was influenced by Machiavelli, an Italian philosopher, author of The Prince.

The company logo is the name Makaveli with a crown on it and a sword through it, which is trademarked by Amaru Entertainment. The Makaveli Record logo is shown on the back cover of the 7 Day Theory.

Out Da Gutta Records

Out Da Gutta Records along with Interscope Records/Atlantic Recording Corporation released 'Thug Life Volume 1' and 'Me Against The World'. (1994 and 1995)

After Tupac signed to Death Row Records this company did not release anything.

As for him being fukked? We can say some swindeling went on in the accounting department but Tupac signed a great deal. So had this shoddy accounting not been corrected and they went to court over it he would've won the case. However, what you saw happen is likely the result of him dying, extra money laying around and they probably just thought . . "he can't use it anymore" :manny: and just thought of his royalties as open season. 1996 was a $100 million year for Tupac, that was prior to the Makaveli album release. That's the gross income the label had off of his success. Of which they would've retained 72 million. It wouldn't make sense to fukk off a future with the guy. That's why they would do their best to appease him when he complained

An absolutely amazing deal

:martin: They killed people and peddled crack to their community. Brooklyn is not a third world country. They had options (although limited) and weren't forced into the streets. These young nikkas just wanted to be savages. You can't wild out for years then start over with a clean slate once your music starts popping. They were being investigated way before Hot nikka. You want NYPD to drop the case because they're buzzing :what:? He wasn't Talib Kweli. His music was a vehicle to promote ignorance. He had the whole world dancing to Mitch bodying another black man:scust:.

If you engage in criminal activity you accept all consequences if you get caught and do your time. There's a kid who just committed suicide after spending 3 years in Rikers with no trial for allegedly stealing a back pack. He was innocent, not a gang member, but his family couldn't afford his bail or a decent attorney. I feel sorry for him. Those are the kids caught in the system. GS9 jumped into it. It was all smiles and dancing until they put the cuffs on and Bobby looked all sad. Where was the regret when he was shooting and almost let a stray hit innocent people sitting in a barbershop?

My whole family, including myself, came out of the NYC housing projects. We all knew early on not to associate with the streets. Two parent households or single mothers, we all went to college and got out. Bobby's mother failed him. Didn't he brag about how he was selling crack since the 5th grade:snoop:?

We all know the prison system needs black bodies to stay in business. If you see a trap and still step in it how can you be saved from your own stupidity? All these nikkas know better .
