i already posted the general solution to the sultan's dilemma in a previous thread
let's apply the cutoff rule

where a woman rejects her first 'n' suitors
then select first candidate where y > r
according to a paper in european journal of operations research
sweet spot seemed to be in the 25-40 "body" range
with the peak around 30 "bodies"
so from her end, she'd know your worth as a man after test driving 25-40 other men
so i'd say ideal body count for a future wife is 25-40
probability of success peaks at about 37%
if we're just being logical about it, you know??

now let me work out the thot analysis...
i seem to recall a variant where professor tries to select the best available post-doc
if best is wifey, then let second best be the jumpoff
from a dwindling supply of women (post-docs)
0.25n^2 divided by n(n-1)
n= size of field
if you let n=5 (a full, rotating squad)
probably of picking best jumpoff is 32%
so it is easier for a man to pick the right wife (37% chance) than the right jumpoff (32% chance)

hmm, good to know

aight then, let me know if you need any more numerical analysis
