A lot of these bodybuilders/gym rats find solace in the gym because it's one of the few places where not having social skills or being able to interact with people isn't a real issue.

Yeah , I be seeing the same thing at my gym . I go to the gym regurlaly but some of these dudes be treating it as a religion . My workout starts and ends in the gym , I ain't going to be counting calories/carbs or whatever they do .
