I would not say lazy as much as I would say spoiled... There are plenty of jobs out there. Americans just have developed a sense of certain things being beneath them. Or the pay vs work balance is out of balance.

Boehner and his ilk (on both sides of the aisles) have ignored the people for quite some time, choosing instead to line their pockets with the money of special interest groups and corporations that don't have the peoples best interest in mind and really want to further their own goals, which is usually profit and prosperity for everyone EXCEPT the American people.

So yeah he can fukk 100% off

Or cry about it...we all know by now he's good at crying

I think vice just had a segment where they were showing the need for illegal immigrants in upstate New York dairy farms. They went and stood outside the unemployment office and offered people $12 an hour to milk cows. People were saying no.

$12 an hour is not really a livable wage, even upstate NY where rent and housing prices are cheaper than the city.

I have'nt seen the vid or story but where were these farms? Were these jobs offered to students in the surrounding areas as way to get some bread in their pocket? Perhaps those in science programs at nearby universities?

Just an idea.

Also....I know people will go on about how college is not for everyone but there are still hundreds of thousands of the best and the brightest that this country has to offer...coming out of school every year and they're not all graduating with degrees in basket weaving and they can't all start their own businesses.

Where is the America from the late 90's and Early 2000's that had a tech boom which spurred on the shyt we're using in our everyday lives now in 2014?

Why aren't the members of congress doing more to encourage another boom like that?

Nah instead they're trying to low key spur on anti-Net Neutrality movements by these mega corporations, which would let to LESS competition and LESS innovation.

Instead they're taking bread from these special interest groups that have a vested interest in building mega-corporations that control all sources of information let alone the means to access the information.

Where is Boehner when it comes to making America more energy independent via solar energy and wind energy, which would then encourage more innovation, improve quality of life, and make it so that we won't need to rely on foreign oil or oil period for our needs?

$12 is not much but I think it is more than an unemployment check. I will try to link it. You couldn't make it in the city on $12 but this area you could live like McDonald's eating king

I know some people in their 50s, not old enough to retire, not young enough to be appealing. Has a masters and 12+ years of expert experience, has not only had a hard time getting job in the trained industry, but starbucks and temp agencies in Austin, TX don't even have availabilities cause so many hipsters and post grads are moving in to the city. Plus, certain places see the master's degree on the resume and assumes that there wont be job satisfaction, so they dont even call back for an interview. And now, unemployment benefits has run out for them, and section 8 housing wont open up their wait lists till October.

You always think it is easy to get even the lowest jobs and make it work until it happens to someone close to you and you see them really struggle with it.
