You Win Perfect
bow down
I know some people in their 50s, not old enough to retire, not young enough to be appealing. Has a masters and 12+ years of expert experience, has not only had a hard time getting job in the trained industry, but starbucks and temp agencies in Austin, TX don't even have availabilities cause so many hipsters and post grads are moving in to the city. Plus, certain places see the master's degree on the resume and assumes that there wont be job satisfaction, so they dont even call back for an interview. And now, unemployment benefits has run out for them, and section 8 housing wont open up their wait lists till October.
You always think it is easy to get even the lowest jobs and make it work until it happens to someone close to you and you see them really struggle with it.
seen it happen to my mother. lots of employers said she was "over qualified". they figure you might be to difficult to manipulate or overwork like a slave because you've had "better". Thankfully she was only out of work for a year.
