This is already in the works.

The Lincoln Yards and the 708 are new residential and business districts in the works for the south loop and around Lincoln Park. Meanwhile, the redline will be extended south past 95th to 130th because black people south and east will be "displaced" to the south suburbs. Did anyone talk about how the mexicans are flooding southside black communities?
Yup, this slipped my mind. The people moving out of Illinois aren't the white-collar folks that will be here eating when tech takes off. Everything between Lakeview and Motor Row gonna be filled with new money in the coming years. I can't speak to Mexicans filling black southside communities but based on how Logan Square got gentrified and pushed them out of there, I am not shocked.

Its like inflation. Just a cover story for unpopular moves
Don't forget all the tornadoes & hurricanes in the south this year , banks folding , Amazon , Google , Intel & other companies folding. Washington is fighting a war in Israel , Sudan & Ukraine.

They were going to move anyway. Two of those states have no state income tax.

And the culture in those states more than likely makes the Executive level people feel more comfortable.

A lot of companies are moving to Texas and the Miami area. Boeing is getting closer to Washington D.C to try and influence politicians in their favor.
They were going to move anyway?!

They left because of the crime. It's not good for the companies and it definitely isn't good for communities either.

Yes, company entities have their agendas, but ultimately, companies are made of people with families who have to live in crime infested cities.
