Been seeing this opinion pop up and I completely disagree. Even though I like this album

This album is cold

I’m probably super late to this but I just have to say that Nicholas Craven style of production is perfect for Boldy James strong vocal presence & lyricism. Both of these guys don’t get enough credit. I think Nicholas Craven is super underrated & some of his better productions are on this project. The soulful vocal samples are really inspiring on this project. Boldy James is also in top form. Great album

Dope as album...Craven's production on this, and his style in general, reminds me of vintage Dipset. Formal Invite in particular sounds like something Killa Cam would rip back in 02-05

super duper basic with it. this has no energy like all his "beats" which are technically just unadulterated loops with no extras

getting away from his era of prominence was a blessing
