I used to fukk with him on the radio, but I watched a few episodes of the HBO show and he's doing bits and comedy. That's not what I'm looking for with him.
Hes just not funny and doesn't know how to deliver jokes. His problem will always be his unlikeability. His smugness just bleeds threw the screen.

lol ya'll got him down. Good for radio/podcasts but he has an extremely strong smug, know it all, I'm smarter than ya'll vibe. I like listening to him but I would probably beef with him heavy in real life. One of those cats that ALWAYS comes off like he just knows he's right about everything but then adds some fake humility.

Bomani has 2 things working against him:

1. The smugness, as many have mentioned on here. I get it, he battles a lot of stupid opinions on the daily, and he has a systematic and successful way of using logic to counter said opinions. When you have a high batting rate you'll over time become more confident/arrogant/smug. People hate feeling dumb, so listening to him while holding opinions he disdains will make you hate him real quick.

2. As the crash of High Noon showed, most people aren't interested in deeper analysis applied to sports, or even meta discussions on the why of sports that Bomani does so well. Even on here. Few are interested in reading advanced nuanced articles. Grantland was auteur material that closed after a while. Meanwhile Stephen A is flourishing with his hack act.

With all this I'm surprised High Noon ended. I thought Pablo Torre was a great foil to Bomani. With Game Theory all you get is Bomani. I'm not sure the comedy bits are for him. His strength is being able to analyze and deconstruct a topic in a way you rarely hear elsewhere. He's at his best on a podcast I think.

I don't think the show survives beyond this season.

whoever chooses what they upload to the HBO youtube is fukking stupid.

the overtime elite segment from last week would do numbers on youtube.

most people have no clue about the program and he did a nice deep dive and critique of it. it reminds me of those real time/last week tonight clips that sometimes go viral because nobody knows much about the topic and it's somewhat informative. instead hbo chooses to upload the same jokes he has been making about all star weekend on various podcasts and espn shows for 10 years and it's sitting at 2k views.

idiots.

On High Noon Pablo is the one that went to Harvard yet he came across as the relatable down to earth guy, albeit a little geeky. Ho has no self awareness :dead:

We're talking about game theory right?

Yeah the show is unlikeable. He himself is.

It doesn't feel educational, it feels more like him just being an a$$hole

The LeBron player empowerment commentary was great too and you can't find it on youtube.
