Bomani has 2 things working against him:
1. The smugness, as many have mentioned on here. I get it, he battles a lot of stupid opinions on the daily, and he has a systematic and successful way of using logic to counter said opinions. When you have a high batting rate you'll over time become more confident/arrogant/smug. People hate feeling dumb, so listening to him while holding opinions he disdains will make you hate him real quick.
2. As the crash of High Noon showed, most people aren't interested in deeper analysis applied to sports, or even meta discussions on the why of sports that Bomani does so well. Even on here. Few are interested in reading advanced nuanced articles. Grantland was auteur material that closed after a while. Meanwhile Stephen A is flourishing with his hack act.
With all this I'm surprised High Noon ended. I thought Pablo Torre was a great foil to Bomani. With Game Theory all you get is Bomani. I'm not sure the comedy bits are for him. His strength is being able to analyze and deconstruct a topic in a way you rarely hear elsewhere. He's at his best on a podcast I think.
I don't think the show survives beyond this season.
