Rock and Sock connection was better....but we see replays of that shyt so often it's lost it's impact after a while. They relied a LOT less on physical/visual comedy and it had the added value of pairing together two rivals.
Booker T and Goldust were great, but they weren't together as long and their matches were completely forgettable.

book-dust was more of a lightweight spin-off of rock/sock (real nikka + goofball) in my opinion

I can get with that. There's really no wrong answer to the question.
The spinoff was to another extreme though. Book was an ignant nikka and Goldust was a freak
As far as $ and ratings go, you're right, there's no comparison. Nobody is gonna fukk with Rock on that end. As a two man team, I was much more entertained in the long run by Book and Golddust. Every tiime they were on the screen you knew it was gonna be some 
shyt. Rock carried Foley in that shyt too. Not saying they're not good, but to me, Book Dust did way more with way less.

This is pretty much spot on with my exact opinion
Booker and Goldust were GOLD together but they were always sideshow entertainment/comedic relief and never figured into main storylines whereas Rock-N-Sock was a main attraction and was a ratings genius

That shyt was so dope in the middle of the PG Cena bullshyt.
Rock & Sock were definitely money...but I think BookDust was a lot funnier.

And when you think back to their early WCW days, when Goldust was plain old boring cowpoke Dustin Rhodes and Booker was the angry militant half of Harlem Heat, who would have thought they'd team up as one of the best comedy teams in WWE history? 
Personally, even as a big Rock fan, I found BookDust much more entertaining than Rock n Sock. Mankind was pretty corny once he started using that damn sock.
