I dont have any that are an anthology of short stories but some novels that cover similar themes w the same kind of social commentary, with some wierd tech or supernatural stuff

Machinehood by SB Divya

Riot Baby by Tochi Onyebuchi

The Mother Code by Carol Stivers

The Prey of Gods Nicky Drayden

Not perfect comps to Black Mirror, but the best I could come up with :yeshrug:

I'm re-reading the Harry Potter series for the first time since high school. Just burned through the first 3 books in 2 weeks :whew:

I'm stuck on the 2nd book for the past two weeks, it just puts me to sleep. Seems like a retread of the first one and I can see everything from miles away. 80 pages left so hopefully I can get through it this weekend.

Want to get back to Goblet

I'm about 100 pages into Goblet right now. It was my least favorite movie, but I'm liking the book a lot right now :ehh:

Also, I actually liked the second one over the first. Got through it pretty quickly.

Reading HP4 as well.

I noticed Voldemort is a pretty interesting villain. He admits his heritage to his minions, let's them in on how he achieves immortality, and doesn't really kill them when they fukk up but uses high school bully tactics/manipulation to punis or embarrass them. Even in the begining, he actually indulges the guy who was eavesdropping before killing him even though he's sup pose to hate muggles.

Another thing to really look closely at is the subtle stuff rowling leaves in. You gotta know some occult stuff to realize why Voldemort ain't as insane or dumb as a lot of folks make him out to be. She's definitely read deeply on alchemy or real magic.

Any recommendations of short story books?.
Not necessarily close to black mirror as far as social commentary on the future of technology in society. At least two of these have suspense/horror. I watched a YouTube video to get these because online lists suck.
