SMH Nothing just been having certain books. Some ive been having since high school ,others i acquired for discussion or my OG pass it down to me. I came up in a strict household where reading was mandatory. Whatever i need to know i'll get. never been one to limit myself.

Black History - is something i think every blackman/blackwoman needs to have.
Rumi poetry
Gibran poetry
Sufi Books
Kabbalah (which is the pink & blue book in the 1st picture i post.)
Kiswahili books
James Baldwin
Mosely novels
Even have some joints on David Icke - i dont agree with some of his views but its interesting.
Mas Ayoob Books - i recommend his books for anyone who owns a gun or plans to have some sort of home defense.

Martial Arts Books - Ip Chun Wing Chun, Breathing Techniques, Sun Tzu, I Ching, Tao te Ching, Boxing w/ Angelo Dundee (Muhammad Ali's Trainer)

Have an an audible account (audio books account) and fly through books usually a book every week or ever few days. I have no time to physical read books, just on the move way to much. But hit me up about anything I will post rip and upload it in a few days, if I have it.

Currently listening to ~~ Brain Rules: 12 Principles for Surviving and Thriving at Work, Home, and School was written by John Medina, a developmental molecular biologist and research consultant

I just picked up Atlas Shrugged the other day. I'm a Science Fiction/Futurist geek. Anything about future societies, societal oppression, etc. is literary gold for me. Probably why Brave New World, The Giver, and all of H.G. Wells' works are among my favorite pieces of literature.

You should check out Octavia E. Butler. Her Parable novels are right up there with the best of them. Although she is a major feminist, and you can discern her agenda quite easily through her writing.

Looking for more so male oriented success/business books
:win:

Edit: Nonfiction please
Potentially the GOAT thread title. Something so nerdy being addressed so gangsta

:russ:

I am currently reading an awesome book called 'How Google Works' written by people who have been with that company when Google was nothing, describing how it became what we know today. Highly recommended for anybody who wants to 'get' their success and how to emulate it.

OP did you read the original: The 48 Laws of Power by the same author? It's great as well, likely even better @EffYou

Also as of right now i recommend a book for the brehs/brehettes to read. Brother Earl Ofari Hutchinson Phd, The Assassination Of the Black Male Image. He wrote this book in 1994, however the elements which he builds on is still relevant.
