I agree, it's beyond played out but modern pro wrestling unfortunately depends on an authority figure to progress storylines and set up gimmick matches. I miss the days of Tunney showing up (via satellite) once a year. You knew when he had something to say it was serious shyt. Now we've got to put up with the GM in 15 segments per show. They don't have any impact really.
