It's a good book, really shows how far Id Software( basically due to John Carmack ) was ahead of everybody else. Don't really know of any other books. I bought the Steve Jobs Bio but never got around to reading it.

I use to read a bunch of hacker books back in the day,It's been a minute but I remember these being pretty good

The Steve Jobs bio was really good. Really showed how much of an a$$hole he was.
