What's it about

Auto-biography/memoir type deal where a (now deceased) New York Times columnist uses investigative reporting techniques and other documentary-type things to tell about his path from being a drug addict-slash-sometimes dealer and alcoholic to piecing his life together and ultimately working for the NYT.

Really good book. Similar concepts to that old show Sliders, but better. They're supposed to be making a movie though I think it'd be much better as a TV show.

I recently read this as well. I thought it was great. It'll be interesting to see how they adapt it for film.

If you are into mythology then I think you'll like it. Even if you are not I think the stories are entertaining enough that you will enjoy it.
You can always ride over to a Barnes and Noble and skim through it to see what you think.
