Yeah lol....

I actually still need to go in there & cancel b/c I keep forgetting to smh. It's def geared toward women though majority of the time with almost every month's selection having a romantic slang no matter the specific genre. I'm still not all the way mad at it though; I was able to get King of Ashes by SA Cosby & Piranesi from em, so it could e been worse. It's definitely not for me though.

I need one of yall to make a youtube channel book club for brehs. Its difficult trying to find book suggestions because they are all by women and zesty dudes.

What do you think about the books? Ive read a lot of mixed reactions to the first book
I really like them. Good action and very visual storytelling. Some brehs might not like it cuz it’s literally black girl magic but imo it’s deeper than that. I know they making a movie about the first book in 2027. It really should be an HBO series.

A 'historical' read that touches on the Troubles conflict over there in Ireland---mainly using a woman (mother of 10 children) mysteriously disappearing one night to anchor the story. It goes into a lot of the inner workings of the IRA and it's rise from the mfs who was on that gangsta shyt elevating all the way into the politics game. It's largely one-sided in that it's not really looking to be a comprehensive view of the conflict but more of a moral deconstructing along with solving the mystery, I guess, or at least attempting too. Was a quick and easy read---kind of mode like a thriller than straight up history joint.

I was just wondering if any brehs read more than one book at the same time

I usually read at least two at the same time to avoid getting bored

Lol I would absolutely suc at this. There really isn't a rhyme or reason to the way I decide what I'll read next. There are times where I fall off in a bookstore and wonder around til I find something. There's times where I simply grab something from an author on my 'auto-read' list. Then, sometimes I just take a look at classics I might not have read yet.

You don't have a TBR list?

I tried but I always end up reading one book. Well I can read comics while I'm reading a book.

I have a system. I'm usually reading two books per week but sometimes juggle three. But that's the limit

The system is two fiction, one non. I don't believe in reading more than one non fiction book at the time, largely depending on how much I try to engage with the material. This usually also depends on the density of that material
