The booming of hip hop on a world wide scale was beginning, a real positive Afro-Centric movement, anti-crack propaganda was heavy in our communities because of the wild 80s, School Daze/House Party type movies were known to us but hidden to white america - shyt was just different. Black Pop Culture was just better overall back then. The music, the television shows, the resurgence of black pride. Everything was clicked back then. Today's Black Pop Culture has been infiltrated by New Blacks and talent-less hacks who washed out all the flavor.
