Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
She blew the fukk up though  Nobody wanna see all that blubber. :dame: Should have nuded up in her prime. That's why you chicks should always drop nudes, cuz you never know when that door will be closed to you.
i mean she bigger.... but i'd still knock it down... this is her between 2014-2015

Now that I think of it, many good black movies get shytted on by whites. I think it's because they're simply incapable of seeing things from a black person's perspective.
Life was another one, in my opinion; wasn't heavily received by mainstream, but enjoyable to all the brothas.
Life was a great movie. It had comedy and drama. It's actually kinda sad at times, too. I don't know why it didn't get a better reception than it did.

And now that I'm thinking about it, Coming to America was the only Eddie Murphy movie with a predominately black cast that was well-received. His other movies with a black cast like Harlem Nights, Boomerang, and Life are forgotten by the mainstream.

No. To white Hollywood. Don't be shy, we all have quoteables from all of the above movies.
That's what I mean. Those movies are overlooked by white mainstream culture. Now that's not a problem in and of itself. The problem is when these films don't do as well financially people get discouraged from making more black movies. Or more accurately, Hollywood uses this as an excuse not to produce more black movies.

since it is an early 90s movie (it actually felt very 80s to me) there were a few things that were weird at first, but the bones of the movie are good.

now i gotta watch harlem nights. its the only eddy murphy movie that i can't remember having watched. i already watched Life which I loved.

grace jones was nice in the movie as well. yooo halle berry was actually pretty hot though, idk these days with all the stories about her white baby daddies i wasn't such a halle berry fan, but i can't hate her on this movie. she played her role well.

daaamn. i've even ran out of words. seriously, thanks op for letting me know about this movie. it is fantastic.

The GOAT Soundtrack :wow:

Anyone think Hav Plenty was a Boomerang cousin..

Hav Plenty is a criminally underrated romcom

Being funny but that movie is primed for a remake. Since it's a romantic comedy and the lead is a comic, we have to go with Kevin. Sigh. Chris Rock can reprise his role as Boney who finally got that corner office and them hoes.

Kev could play the new Tyler or Girard. Thats more his speed. Omari Hardwick (I think he is around Idris' age though) or Michael B could be the new Marcus. Not too many real suave comedians our here right now. Never have been really, Eddie created that lane.
Bill Bellamy was a suave comedian but like Eddie, he's :flabbynsick: too

Hav Plenty left too many loose ends.

Kevin Hart is sadly the only comedian prominent enough unless there's an up-and-comer. Kevin isn't handsome enough and too short. Lol

Just watched Strictly Business and I enjoyed it immensely. Yoo Halle Berry looked fine as hell way back when, she is simply sensational on screen, I can't get enough of her. Her hair, body and swag was on point :wow:

About the movie itself, it was :salute:. Not really a typical rom com, but more of a coming of age type joint. Can't deny Bobby's hustle :whew: and swagger :leon:, plus him and Tinsdale uniting on some black power ish with the Harlem National Bank so that Tinsdale can become partner.

Why the hell am I watching these movies now :bryan:? I used to eff with 90s movies heavy but never got to watch either Boomerang or Strictly Business. Need to step my game up :birdman:

Any of y'all got other movies to recommend? I need some of that on screen black excellence to get me through the week
