Im tired of people calling stupid behavior “mistakes”. It was bad fukking decisions. Leaving your keys in your car is a mistake. Everything he was doing was intentional. Its great when people stop doing dumb shyt, but dont minimize that it was their decisions that lead them to do what they did. Its more noble to not do the shyt in the first place.

Yeaaaaaaaaa, in the literal sense yes, but when people use mistakes to describe foul things they have done, mistake is used more like an action their hapless former selves did for reasons they have overcome. Everyone has a choice and mistake always feels like “I didnt know better”. Just say someone made poor choices. Say the extra words and point that shyt out. Walking into a wall and robbing duncan donuts for their donuts both count as mistakes in the literal sense but they are worlds apart in their effect on the people world.
