Basically, I get "no setup signature found..." when I try to boot.

This is after a "graphics initialization failed; Error setting up gfxboot" screen.

I'm going to try a different distro, then maybe a different USB drive as I've had problems with this one through the whole process. Or a dvd if I can find one.

Do you have multiple hard drives? I cannot boot the last two Ubuntu releases because something about my multiple hard drives prevents it.

Yeah, I have a SSD with Win7 on it, and an additional HDD. I'm thinking my USB drive is causing the problem. How did you get around your issue, if you were able to?

I didn't get around it. I searched online and others were having the same problem and the "solution" was disconnect the extra hard drives and install Ubuntu, then reconnect them. At that point I had literally just installed my extra hard drive, so I didn't feel like opening my computer back up just to install Ubuntu.

:snoop:

Well if reformatting and retrying Slitaz doesn't work, I'll disconnect my HDD and try it. If that doesn't work, I'll cop another USB drive.
