Listen. Let's not get scorned lover with it. I get that Melo had a better situation basketball-wise in Chicago. I'm not doubting that.

But the difference between the Bulls having Melo, and the Bulls having Pau plus pieces... is the difference between competing to come out of the east, maybe.

And being a favorite to win the championship. That's a MASSIVE leap. And as such... is a MASSIVE fall. The bulls could still compete for a championship. they'll still be a great team. But hell... plenty of teams COULD win a championship. You know?
Here y'all go making this deeper for bulls fans than bulls fans do!

None of us feel no kind of way because at the end of the day we just a scorer away from being a real threat to getting out the east. It would have hurt ny more cause without melo they lottery bound. Why should we sit in salt when we are favored by many to get out the east? I'm not even guaranteeing it just saying we still got a lot of good to look forward to.

Scorned would be us bytching about him not coming but more fans from other teams doing more complaining about melo not joining than we are lol

It's all to the good breh

If you think getting Pau instead of Melo for YOUR team isn't a loss. Then... well, that's great for you.

But that team is elite with melo. And only very good without him. I don't really even know what the argument is here... "It would have hurt new york more" The fukk does that mean or matter?

The rationalizing and spinning.. Don't get nauseous.

In this Lakers rumors and news update, the Chicago Bulls have finally decided to amnesty big man Carlos Boozer – potentially giving the Los Angeles Lakers a chance to pick him up on the relative cheap.

According to Eric Pincus of the Los Angeles Times, the Lakers are one of a handful of teams who have the cap space necessary to make a legitimate winning bid for the 32-year-old:

The Lakers are one of many teams still armed with salary-cap room (about $6.8 million), though approximately $5 million of that has been promised to re-signing guard Nick Young.

Both Young and returning center-forward Jordan Hill have yet to re-sign, giving the Lakers additional flexibility to add to the roster — possibly through an amnesty claim on Boozer.

The Lakers could also opt to waive Steve Nash, stretching his contract’s cap hit over the next three seasons in order to open up space for Boozer.

With Pau Gasol now a member of the Chicago Bulls, there is a hole in the frontcourt that Boozer could very well fill. Despite posting the second-lowest minutes per game total (28.2) of his 12-year career in 2013-14, Boozer still averaged 13.7 points and 8.3 rebounds per game in 76 contests.

That production would be a welcome addition to a transitioning Lakers squad, especially if they can acquire him on a discount. The Lakers will most likely have to contend with teams such as the Indiana Pacers and New York Knicks who are also looking for cost-effective options at forward/center.

No, you're not. You supposed to be trying to win a title. You didn't get bosh. You lost parsons for Ariza. You're going to start Beverly exclusively at the point, and have Canaan as his backup? That's not great, fam.

As far as defensive metrics, they've always been shaky. You can look at what the player they're guarding is shooting from the floor, but even that can be misleading.

Houston lost badly. They basically moved Asik, Lin, and Parsons for Ariza.

Denying Parsons team option at a bargain salary so you wouldn't lose him the next year and then losing him anyways :dead:

Boozer to the Lakers makes too much sense. They're desperate to bring in as much talent as possible and Boozer wants to play, it's a perfect match.

So now what should we do? bytch every post about it? Damn breh you seem more invested in this shyt than we are :laff:

Crazy thing is if we were bytching about it y'all would be clowning about that :russ: nobody said that having melo wouldn't make us better but that wasn't the argument in the first place. How can the bulls lose in the off season if we starting the next season favored as a contender to get out the east? Is ny getting that deal? So again who really losing? All I'm saying is we can't be the off season big loser when just adding a couple of pieces puts us right in title contention. What really is there to argue about that?

Yeah, but two of those guys were from drafts.

The only guy you attracted was Gasol. Who is fine, but not exactly what this team needed.

Not being able to convince Carmelo is a loss. I would have loved to watch that team.

Still... not a bad off-season objectively... just tough considering what it could have been/the team hoped it would be.
I know, but dont lump us with teams that regressed like Houston. I dont think many Bulls fan thought we were the favorites to grab Melo, we know better

It wasnt the disappointment that 2010 was, we just realize we had a chance to be special with Melo

We still added serious talent, and it while most of it was drafted, it wasnt slotted to us because we had a poor season, it was because of moves we made years ago to acquire talent in the future, so finally seeing it materialize is a huge win for us. We've had the patient to wait 3 years on Mirotic, and waited on several years to acquire the much discussed (among Bulls fans) Bobcats pick.

I think we have a 60 win team on our hands again if Rose makes a full return

I dont think hes saying that, just saying he realizes we had the chance to be a truly special team with Melo, which I agree

We still winning 60 and taking the East :jawalrus:
