How the hell do they even calculate DRtg?

Depends. It's usually points scored per 100 possessions, or a variation of that principle.... with X player on the floor. So his D rating is boosted by having other defensively oriented players on the floor with him.

Other times, it takes into account the amount of points the player YOU'RE GUARDING scores per 100 possessions... so it's tough to tell. But boozer is awful on defense, I don't need a calculator to figure out what I can plainly see.

Goddamn, Chicago and Houston lost this offseason.

So what's a good advance stat or stat that evaluate a players defense as an individual?

And stop prematurely judging our offseason. Houston is trying to get more well rounded/ balanced this season.

Melo a short sighted dumb ass for not taking that 2 year deal THEN taking a max like lebron. He could of got his max dough in 2 years and competed for titles for the next 5.

Lebron been trying to show this fool the way since he got in the league

Remember they told melo to be available for the 2010 free agency period

But melo keep treated this shyt like ain't no more money out here for him.

Or it's some greedy ass agent behind closed doors worried about getting more in they 20% cut

Now melo bout to be 2-3 years from now trying to get traded hoping some team will part with they young prospects for him to go to a winner. And when that don't happen he will be 35-36 trying to ring chase then lol

:mjlol: How is anyone gonna compete when your franchise player has only played 49 games in 3 years, and your defensive anchor only played 66+ games one time in 5 years, and had to have knee surgery after doing so? How is he going to compete when your franchise player and defensive anchor are both coming off of injury when he just went through that with J.R? How is he going to compete when your franchise player and defensive anchor both have knee issues when he's been going through that with STAT for 2 or 3 years? How is he going to compete when your best big has, of all things, feet issues? Why would it be better for anyone to leave Phil?

Katz just aggy that 'Melo got money, Phil, the G.O.A.T. offense, imminent cap space (Marc Gasol), a coach who is teaching defense more intensely than Kerr ever will, and a coach who has his team playing super hard for him because he's able to command high respect, a quality Kerr also doesn't have. No one wanted to see him get all of that. Lj has bummy Cleveland (the city isn't bummy, just the franchise). No franchise player in the East has what 'Melo has. #MeloWon

Why did Chicago lose?

We added McDermott, Mirotic & Gasol while not losing anything of serious value

Thats the most talent we've added in an offseason in forever

Optimistic But I Got Hands Tho
His midrange is real nice , he would EAT on the Cavs

He ate with LeBron on the Cavs. He then shook a blind owners hand (Gordon Gund) and promised to re-sign to only leave for Salt Lake.

He's never going to be welcomed in Cleveland.

He's up there with Art Modell and Albert Belle.
