Was 3 that bad? I remember liking it more than 2.

No it wasn't that bad, and I agree with you that it was better than 2. I'm not saying 2 is bad it's still fun to play, but imo 3 is extremely fun to play and some of the dialogue had me rolling. I love the psychos randomly using their last words to shyt on claptrap.

you can't crap on every character, dumb down the builds, split the community with a ton of dlcs that don't compliment one another, and expect to come into your sequel with any momentum

they basically did the same shyt destiny 2 did to its goodwill over 5 years in just 6 months

That is a salient point. I did like the build variety of 2 more than 3. But I thought 3's core gameplay felt as satisfying as the 1st game but I get it the DLC was disjointed.

3 wasn't even close to 2, stop it. 2 influenced the entire genre. The story from 2 was like a movie. 3, while decent, falls way short of its predecessor.

you can play BL2 on mute skipping every cutscene and its still the template for looter shooters and FPS skill progression over a decade later. even fukking cyberpunk and doom bite from borderlands
