I'm not going to recommend a similar game because you'll only find faults in them because they aren't Borderlands.

Strange Journey on the Nintendo DS. F up your life with this game.

Emulator on phone and PC. No excuses.

I tried playing on my own and was bored shytless. A friend bought it so we did it co op and we was on it like 10 hours a day

Maybe get someone to play it with?

I must admit Borderlands had some of the best multiplayer coop ever.
