Borderline midwestern cities, let's talk about them.

All of these cities may not be considered Midwestern by standard definitions, but recently I've been curious as to tha extent of which these cities have been influenced by Midwestern culture especially in regards to black Midwestern culture. Can any brehs who live in, have lived in, or are from these cities provide any insight for me regarding this?

I was in Buffalo for a few months ... Yeah it does have kind of have that "rust belt" feel to it, but my mom's family is from St. Louis and I wouldn't describe Buffalo as Midwestern in that sense. Upstate NY is kind of like its own cultural region IMO

Louisville is the South but it's also the border

I spend a lot of time in Buffalo and Rochester but never the midwest. So I don't really know what that means

Louisvilles white ppl are like 80% redneck southern cac but most the black folks there are midwestern-ish. No strong southern black accents or anything there

The whole state of oklahoma and the panhandle area of Texas , which kind is of a strange mix of southwestern, midwestern and southern culture.
