Full quick breakdown now that I'm home
Ryda and Jakkboy 2-1. This battle was a mess because of all the technical issues. The audio went out about 3 times. I think one was like a half hour long. Snake and Dougy first round was pretty dope, Snake was better than he's ever been. Ryda and Jakk had a good first too, but the Haymaker at the end of Snake and Dougy's first gave them the edge. Last two, Ryda and Jakk won clearly. Dougy and Snake lacked chemistry and consistent haymakers. Give the battle 3.5/5
Saga 2-1 or 3-0. Tink threw up in the first during a solid round. Saga landed more dope bars in the first. The crowd seemed split. Second round is the most debatable. Tink's best round but still felt like it was missing something. Saga's second was hit or miss. Saga had better written material but lacked impact. I don't remember Tink's third at all, which should tell you that it was forgettable. Saga had a dope third. Had the whole crowd chanting "3-0" Decent battle. 3/5
JC 3-0. Trez went first, had some solid material in the first, but the lightest round of the battle. JC went stupid out the gate in he first and had the entire crowd on his side. Trez started the second with three rebuttals, they all ranged from good to okay but still impressive. Had a excellent round. JC went nuts again in the second round, and edge it but I could see someone giving Trez an edge but I had JC in the second. Third round Trez had another fire round with a mediocre rebuttal in there. JC third was crazy as his first two. I edged JC 3-0 no body but pretty clear. 4/5. Easily battle of the night.
Twork 3-0. Qleen started good in the first but at the end of it, I could tell it wouldn't be enough. Twork started kinda slow but picked up and went stupid in the first and won that round. Second round, Qleen choked quickly in the round but got it back and had a good round. He didn't really have any bar haymakers but he had some really clever lines. Twork's second was good, if it wasn't for the choke Qleen might could've slightly edged that round but with the choke it's clear round for Twork. Third round Qleen had some good angles but again just felt like it could been more. Twork's round was short but good enough to edge it. Twork 3-0 but no body. Qleen seemed rusty but had some good moments. 3.5/5
O-Red 2-1. It's really hard to call this battle. The dysfunction between Red missing and then the delays, then the bickering back and forth about time limits. Ave went first and had a typical Ave round (read dope as fukk), then Red went and had, imo, an even better round. I think Red out wrote Ave this whole battle. He showed he was more versatile than just punchlines. Red's round got cut short so some might give it to Ave cause it felt like he rapped longer, but I thought Red's material was better. Second round, Red won clear. I thought Ave's round was slept on though. I think the crowd kinda was just tired and may have been some backlash with Ave complaining to Smack about Red's time in the first. Red second was his best round of the battle probably. He went nuts but got cut short again. This time by Smack. Ave said Red can keep going but Smack and Red got into a heated argument about the time limits. Third round, Ave had another solid round but it wasn't up to the quality we're used to from Ave. I think he even stole Red's "Rocky 5" line from the Rex battle. Red's third was kinda discombobulated. He had good material but was struggling to get it out and the crowd was restless so people started walking out during his last round. I edge it 2-1 Red but if someone gives it to Ave, I could see it. All depends on the first round. 3.5/5
