you think born sinner will influence antyhing? :comeon:

face in it's not like there'll be less electronic music in hip hop 10 years from now.

No :birdman: I doubt it's influencing shyt and Yeezus isn't going to either. Lupe Fiasco released the same :trash: album Lasers in 2011 that influenced this :trash: Kanye's whole "different is good gimmick" failed and you really aren't influencing shyt if it's not commercially succesful or good and in Kanye's case this isn't even good. nikka listened to an Azelia Banks (spellcheck) EP then decided to record that trash. :russ:

Props to Cole. He deserves his success. Thought his album was a solid 4 mics. Very enjoyable listening experience...

As for Kanye I believe that the knee-jerk reports of his supposed "downfall" are greatly exaggerated. ONLY Kanye West could drop an album with NO video, VERY LITTLE ADVERTISEMENT (Those building projections and his performance on SNL were pretty much it) and a lead single called "Black Skinheads" and still manage 300k first week. I see that as a "Glass half-full" scenario than a half-empty one. Remember the hype and build up for MBDTF? The G.O.O.D Friday leaks? The Runaway video? Power getting HEAVY radio rotation? Kanye's career will be just fine....

Proof that if you make the same album twice (not three like Curtis tried) and speak about the same issues you'll be rewarded. Wonder if this will stop rappers from experimenting and going left field with their music.

The problem isn't experimenting and going left field, it's putting out shytty music.

Regardless of how reviewers said the album was great only because it was different and the lyrics were cool despite being shytty because it showed Ye really didn't care, it was a shytty album.

Good post @Ziggiy.

Ye is in the position(well deserved) to be able to put the record he put out. I am not a big fan of it, nor a complete hater of it. It is meh to me. And b/c of Ye's track record I am judging it to his past records.

As to Cole. Love Born Sinner I think it is a great record. But I am not judging Cole Like I judge Ye.

If that makes sense.. :yeshrug:

Great for Cole, straight up he deserved it.

He put out the better album and is now being rewarded.

Kanye could only get away with so much.
