Props to Cole. He deserves his success. Thought his album was a solid 4 mics. Very enjoyable listening experience...
As for Kanye I believe that the knee-jerk reports of his supposed "downfall" are greatly exaggerated. ONLY Kanye West could drop an album with NO video, VERY LITTLE ADVERTISEMENT (Those building projections and his performance on SNL were pretty much it) and a lead single called "Black Skinheads" and still manage 300k first week. I see that as a "Glass half-full" scenario than a half-empty one. Remember the hype and build up for MBDTF? The G.O.O.D Friday leaks? The Runaway video? Power getting HEAVY radio rotation? Kanye's career will be just fine....
meanwhile macklemore sittin @843k
none of them breh's comin close to that
unless cole world and drizzle go on another shopping spree![]()

did it a couple years back @ bumbershoot too w/the quickness.
Is the same as months of buildup with a real radio single, and a real video for said radio single??
Just stop it nikkas.

:nikkawhat: whats it got to do with than?

When your favorite artist sells or when somebody successful you don't like fails to sell enough it's "thank god real hip-hop is back". Please. Your favorite rapper isn't realer than anybody else's. When did quality lose subjectiveness?
By the way, stop gassing GKMC. It's an album of equal quality to a ton of underground rappers you never heard of, but with the Interscope machine behind it so sales made people feel like it was ok to proclaim it a masterpiece. It's not.
