He bought the lease to the WTC and took out an insurance policy that covered terrorism two months before 9/11. After the attacks he argued in court that two attacks happened so he got paid out twice his policy for a total over $4 billion. The anti-conspiracy side of it is that the WTC was hit with that underground bomb a decade earlier so that building was already prone to terror attacks. Either way though this guy made a grip.
