Man I'm so used to my mentions being some geek taking a random shot at me for something I said weeks ago, its refreshing to see something inspiring like this. I'm about to locate a link to watch or purchase this now.
That montage at the end with Ida B. Wells, George Washington Carver, Booker T. Washington and other early black successes just gave me pause. We as black people really followed W.E.B Dubois to beg for a seat at the white mans table and completely gave up trying to build our own communities.
100 plus years later and we're still marching and begging![]()

Ferguson wasn't begging.
Baltimore wasn't begging.
advocated for reparations isn't begging.
either you truly trying to build for all or your trying to build for you and yours under the guises of inclusion at the expenses of your own people.
and that doesn't come without the redistribution of the ill gotten gains that created this very nation that we are rightfully entitled to.
but what's so naive about this statement is, it implies that black folk back then weren't advocating for their various rights along to be recognized as human beings in the United States
I'm ready... I think I'm finally at that point to make my mark and I need encouragement.
