the fact that no group has claimed responsibility and they have no clue or leads on who did it adds to the speculation that this may be a homegrown style attack or a independent cell.
if it were a terror group or state sponsored act it's likely many more people would have been killed.
my biggest fear in all of this is that blame is prematurely or incorrectly attributed to someone or some group just to make people feel at ease.

overall the shyt seemed kinda botched and amateur-hour status. I wonder if that's why no one wants to take credit

I was shook as hell to head back into the city yesterday, but hotel security is beefed up everywhere.
I had to show my room card just to be able to walk to the building. Then you had to give your name and room number as well as have your bags searched at the entrance.
Plus there were cops posted out around the hotel. I felt safe though. I was about to check out and head to Quincy.

How they struck America yet again, how even with all the security measures etc. They can still attack a major us city.

Basically its like Daze said- either the perp dont wanna take credit for it, or the attacks arent over yet. Makes you wonder. To be honest, I have a feeling it is the latter.
On the other hand, it might be that they already got got by homeland security before they had a chance to get on a pedestal.
