Both are very talented, sexy, plus can sing and dance very well….. what’s holding Normani and Chloe back from becoming legit superstars.

I would say they are a level of superstar but not top tier level. You don't be in the global media for nearly a decade and be considered a "flop" or whatever but I guess haters see it different lol

Chloe face is ugly, her eyes are too Far apart which gives her the looks of an alien.

Normani is cute, but she's bland in the sense that there are a Lot of other women who do the same she does.

In short: they are NOT "commercial" enough to appeal to public like that + there are other Black women who already claimed the place they are trying to get.

Ex: Megan, Nick, Cardi, etc.

There's nothing unique about them

Beyonce was a great performer and had great energy on stage. She always carried herself like a star that's been there before, that's the main character (even at the expense of her crew in destiny's child)

Rihanna had that island girl quality going for her

Sza has her own brand of R&B (has a low key, lofi sound kind of)

Chloe should have just made music more similar to what she did when she was still singing with her sister.

Normani had some hits though (Love lies, dancing with a Stranger, motivation) :patrice: so I'm not sure what happened there

Also, I mentioned this before: you CAN'T be TOO oversexualized from the start if your music is basic. Otherwise people won't take you seriously

They got everything but the music :yeshrug:
Exactly. Every thing else is just bs. They haven't found the solo music that hits with the widest audience yet. Nobody would care about any of the extracurricular that much if the music was undeniable. And I say that as someone who personally likes a good bit of their solo work give or take a song.

Normani I never got the hype for but Chloe can sing, act and has got body, at least by mainstream standards so I don't know what's holding her back.

Maybe she needs to work with a genius producer/writer and see if a specific sound can be crafted?
